Meet our team
Founder & Director
Hi, I’m Nikki, the founder of NextAble Support.
My understanding of support comes from more than work experience. Within my own family, I have seen firsthand how disability, neurodivergence, mental health challenges, vision impairment, ageing and reduced mobility can affect not only one person, but the whole family around them.
These experiences taught me how important it is to have support that is patient, respectful and dependable. I understand that sometimes people need more time, a different way of communicating, help to feel safe and confident, or simply someone who is willing to listen and understand their needs without judgement.
I completed a degree in Education, specialising in Physical Education, overseas, which gave me a strong foundation in communication, movement and helping people build skills step by step. I have also worked in medical sales, regularly communicating with doctors, nurses and other healthcare professionals.
After working in a variety of service-based roles in Australia, including domestic cleaning, I became a support worker and later an independent support worker. Working closely with participants and families helped me understand the importance of support that is personal, reliable and consistent.
These experiences eventually led me to establish NextAble Support.
As a small, locally operated provider working towards NDIS registration, my goal is to combine professional standards with personal support. I stay involved, get to know the people we support and make sure their individual needs, routines and goals remain at the centre of what we do.
I want NextAble Support to grow without ever losing the personal connection that makes good support meaningful.
